We’re naming this litter the "Eclipse” litter. Kali’s temporary name as a puppy was Eclipse, named for the almost, but not quite, ring of white collar around her neck. Coupled with the recent Solar Eclipse that happened during Kali’s pregnancy, we thought this was appropriate. Below are the puppies in order of birth with their temporary names.

Week 4 - Octover 18, 2017

This week we discovered that humans are fun! We love to go running over to our human family, wag our tails and climb up into their laps to snuggle. Then we're off again to play with our littermates and our toys. So much to discover! We also love to play with some of the other big dogs in the house. What fun. We also got to play in our new adventure box. The adventure box has lots of fun things hanging down that we can bump, push aside, bat at, play with, etc. It introduces us to the  sights, sounds, touch and motion that we will experience during our lives. It helps us become more confident! We just think its a fun place to play.
Oh, and big news - our teeth are coming in.

Week 3 - Oct. 11, 2017

This week we learned how to play. We spend a bit more time awake now and love to wrestle, chew and bat at our siblings.
We even have some toys now, but we think our siblings are the best toy of all. We’ve attempted to run and jump, although we need more practice at that! We have a pee pad now and we know how to use it! This really seems to amaze everyone and they say things like, “good puppy!” Oh yea – our ears are open now too. So every afternoon we listen to our Puppy Sounds CD.

Week 2 - October 4, 2017

We had a busy week.
We learned to push ourselves up from a creeping position and stand (a bit wobbly) on all 4 legs.
We took our first steps – right towards Mama Kali! Mostly we napped and nursed and got all rolly polly.
The most exciting part of this week was that we opened our eyes. What a beautiful world! Tomorrow we graduate from SuperDog!

Week 1 - September 27, 2017

We’ve spent the week nursing and napping. We get weighed twice a day. Boy, have we grown!
Mama Kali takes good care of us. We love to burrow under her silky hair until we disappear.
We also started our SuperDog program this week.

Here are the temporary names of the puppies of the Eclipse Litter.
(in order of birth)

We’ve given Kali’s puppies temporary names that have something to do with an eclipse.

Eclipse – named in honor of her mom, this puppy also has an almost, but not quite complete white collar around her neck. She has the Irish Pied markings, just like her mom (4 white feet, white tip on the tail, white on the tummy, white on the collar). And she appears to be getting the tan markings, so she'll be a Black and Tan just like her mom. Female, Black and Tan Irish Pied, 5.4 oz.

Luna – named for a Lunar Eclipse. She is a black and tan, just like her mom, but without any of the white markings. She does have a stripe of white on her tummy. Female, black and tan, 5.4 oz..

Corona - The sun's corona is only visible during a total eclipse. Female, extreme parti (Black head and white body), 5.4 oz

Shadow – When the Earth enters the Moon's shadow, we see a solar eclipse; when the Moon travels through the Earth's shadow, a lunar eclipse occurs. This all black puppy fits the name Shadow. Male, black, 5.3 oz.
Terra – named for the Latin name for Earth. Female, Black Parti, 4.8 oz.

Flare - giant solar eruptions like solar flares can be seen in the corona during a solar eclipse. Male, Black Parti. 5.4 oz.
